Forty Years of Making A Difference!
Things are great for technical education in Georgia and at Coosa Valley Technical College. The State of Georgia General Assembly recently approved almost $14 million dollars in designated funds for expansion on all three CVTC campuses which includes:
- $8 million for the Allied Health Center - Floyd County Campus
- $866,000 for equipment associated with renovation - FloydCounty Campus
- $800,000 for the property across the street from the Floyd County Campus
- $3.8 million for the Economic Development Building - Polk County Campus
- $280,000 for the planning of Phase III on the Gordon County Campus.
Over Coosa Valley Technical College’s forty years of service to Northwest Georgia we have had the opportunity to serve over 100,000 students. Since 1962 we have offered the very best in technical education through our dedicated faculty, our determined staff and our mission to stay on top of the changing needs of our community. We are able to reach people seeking to learn or refine skills that are in demand in our area.
People are realizing the importance of technical education in their current jobs and in preparation for the future. Technical education provides people with the skills necessary to fill vital roles that round out Northwest Georgia’s workforce. Thanks to the Coosa Valley Technical College Foundation and the HOPE Grant, an education is more accessible than ever.
As we celebrate our anniversary, we are able to stand on our triumphs of the past forty years and look towards a bright and promising future for Coosa Valley Technical College and Northwest Georgia. Coosa Valley Technical College… we’re working with you to make a difference in our community.
Craig McDaniel, President Coosa Valley Technical College
